Our History
In 1979, Rev. Dr. H. Richard Bucey suggested the idea of starting a thrift shop to support mission partners, which the congregation eagerly endorsed. With dedication and effort, a group of volunteers launched the first Good Neighbor Thrift Shop at 140 Lear Rd, Avon Lake in April of that year. Over the years, the shop has relocated twice to accommodate growth, expanded to include over 100 volunteers, and contributed more than $1 Million to charitable causes.
